You sure it wasn't after Lucretia Borgia? Sounds about right with for a character with "Seduction" in the spellbook ;)
Lanfear wrote:"Krösus Sork ("Croesus Vole") is a Scrooge McDuck-type capitalist; born as a banker's son he was forced to play second fiddle to his brother Slösus who couldn't put a foot wrong.
Most probably a reference to (Marcus Licinius) Crassus, a man of proverbial wealth from the ancient Rome.

Cool topic :) Prepare for some spam!

My first character in WoW was Bile. Bile is a zombie-mage, and the name sounded like him.
Bile or gall is a bitter yellow or green alkaline fluid secreted by hepatocytes from the liver of most vertebrates. In many species, bile is stored in the gallbladder between meals and upon eating is discharged into the duodenum where the bile aids the process of digestion of lipids.

Neferiti later alerted me that the name could also be interpreted in a less base manner:
Bile (Bee-Lay) is an Irish God often represented as a Tree that whose roots go to the depths of the universe and whose branches reach the highest heavens. He is the Bile Tree set in the center of Druid rituals.
My second character in wow was Alicia. Even though she's an undead rogue, I did my best to make her as pretty an undead as possible, to match the name.
Also, it's just the best name for a rogue!
variation of Alice, honest
After Alicia retired, I started an elf priest called Aruna.
Hindi name. In Hindu tradition, Arun means "dawn".
Aruna later transfered servers, and had to change names. After agonizing about it for over a week, she became known as Aicha.
Aicha was one of the wives of Muhammad, according to the Islam. She's said to have lead an army at the army of Bassorah, following the controversy about the succession of Muhammad: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisha
Also, there's this song obviously ;): <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iIyyPsqRweE&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iIyyPsqRweE&hl=nl&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

My first character on Lightbringer was Archibald. Archibald is a gnome warrior, and like any small guy, he needed a large name.
The boy's name Archibald \a-rchiba-ld, ar-chi-bald\ is of Old French and Old German origin, and its meaning is "genuine, bold, brave". Brought to Britain with the Norman Conquest, and popular largely in Scotland, where it is used as the English version of Gaelic Gilleasbaig
Then there's Alys. Alys is a gnome warlock, and named after Aleister Crowley

Alegria simply means "joy", or closer, "jubilation", in spanish and Portuguese (at least according to the online dictionary!), and is once again named after a song:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/smkiSJf2cHE&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/smkiSJf2cHE&hl=nl&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

After that I got sick of all the names starting with an "A", and Snowsong was born. Snowsong is a shaman, and shares a name with Thrall's frostwolf companion.
She's also very pale and has white hair. ;)

And finally, Doornail, the deathknight.
Just check out this article: http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-dea1.htm ;)

Still here? Who'd have thought....

As most dwarven names are based around mining or war wanted to follow on the trait and being a dwarf with read hair and a knot of hair on the top of a mainly bald dome Copperknot was born :)

Crockett (hunter) named after Davy Crocket king of the wild fronteer, famous hunter and tracker he met his end at the Alamo (ohh yes pet's name is Davy ;) )

Forgiven (priest) well tried Repent and Blessings and suprise suprise they were taken so went with Forgiven ... hehe used to have a macro that had him saying "You are forgiven my child" after a kill but that soon got annoying and got rid of that straight away.
