Hello, I am Thawte, once the greatest (and only) Draenai male mage that ever lived and roamed the <Easy> stomping grounds, now a human male on Mazrigos. Frost is and has always been my home, warming up to fire spec (yes, intended, d'oh). I see Fungi just came back, this pleases me.
If the above have changed, can you say why?
Frost was/is/always will be the the greatest mage spec of all time, however that Draenai male casting model an animation is pretty awful. I rerolled to female in WOTLK for a bit but had to drop WoW about 50% into that expansion due to RL commitments. Started up casual WoW again about a year ago on-and-off in WoD for a bit to see if I could get the missus interested in the game with some mixed success, rolled a new human male toon (same name) on Mazrigos for a fresh start so I could focus on playing and questing together without being tempted to rejoin my old home.
What is your raiding experience while you were away?
Some LFR in WoD. Much facerolling. Much wiping.
Why did you leave Easy?
I dropped WoW entirely for quite a while, the game got pretty stale for me. I was a pretty active member of the game and guild for a long time.
Why do you want to rejoin Easy?
Really enjoying Legion, I think they've done all right with this xpac. With the new cross realm capabilities I can keep my new toons on Mazrigos but still be a part of the old on Lightbringer without having to transfer anyone or resurrect the original Thawte. Browsing the forums (old account was still active
) I see many returning players from me era that seem to have the same idea as me!Have the reasons why you previously left Easy been resolved?
The game is certainly much more interesting again now and as long as it stays so then I will be around. I do no intended to return as a hardcore raider again, I think that ship has sailed and rl circumstances have changed since TBC/WOTLK but I still have plenty to offer from a casual and social sense (Fungi may disagree with this
).How much do you see yourself playing/raiding for the future?
I have a much more difficult and demanding job than I used to and levelled my up relationship somewhat since my raiding so days so am living with a (real) girl that still thinks it's weird when I yell at my microphone and cry when people keep standing in the fire. I am managing to play quite a lot more than I thought I would though and the lady enjoyed her brief foray into the game so let's see how it goes. I would definitely consider myself a casual at this point.
