All humans have at least one "get Out of Jail Free" with "Every Man for Himself".

Also most of us mages have macros set up in the old days when ccing was more common. ;)

For our kill tonight we CCd 1 Mender, 1 Blademaster, 2 Trappers (went a lot better than CCing 2 Menders)
- Tank the chaos very close to the edge (on the line on the ground)
- Drop raisins behind that line
- Had our 2 enh shammies for purging Quickening (as priests were complaining about mana on Mass Dispell *rolls eyes*)
- Tank boss in the middle in ph2, starting with Hero

Cengo was on CC duty for some unknown reason, low AoE dps should be on CC, not hunters.
Maths problem of the day:
If George is 73 and his girlfriend is 26,
How much money does George have?

Actually... i've read about a totally different tactic somewhere (can't remember where though), where there was NO AOE used at all.
All single target focus on 1 Mender, then killing of 1 Blademaster, then killing 1 Trapper.
Since their health is shared, this should work too, no?

Pro -
Will mean faster kills on individual mob types.
May be even easier to interrupt (though I don't think this is a current issue).
May mean a faster transition into P2.

Cons -
You have to do this 3 times for the different mob types.
Still need interrupters on any extra healers if up.
As a lot of AoE also have rolling dots, the boss would therefore receive less overall damage and will move into P2 with more health.

Its worth a try for sure, doing the method above may mean we get into P2 quicker and give us the extra time needed for the bosses larger health pool.

Regardless of method though, you should always pick the best suited for individual jobs, in this case, using hunters for CC if were AoE'ing is not the best use.

Sigh, you're going on about this. I had no real choice and believe me, i did read your post about hunters not to be put on CC, and i did hear you moaning about having Cengo on CC duty.
I did have 3 mages and a SP on CC originally, but Esti and Flex were rolled or signed out. So 2 mages left, 3 hunters left, and 3 locks. So i sacrificed 1 hunter. Let's move on.

I'm not a child so less of the tone.

I'm an experienced raider/ex raid leader/ex officer of 2 guilds who has legitimate right to air issues and point out what I think are flaws in raid strategy, if you don't intend feedback, don't create threads specifically for it.

Pros and Cons for me as above.
Adding to the cons though, it will mean more Windbombs in ph2, unless we start with:
Getting the boss down to about 77% (75% means the start of Windbombs), then continue with nuking down the 3 single adds.

Certainly up for trying these strats.
