I've had that problem myself aswell Gladion (didn't die though). I just ran out to reset stacks before I went to dps the ball, cause when the ball spawns at a less than optimal time, I was standing in the middle circle with 8-9 stacks of nasty on me. I understand that this is easier for ranged than it is for melee though, so not sure what you can do about it as melee.

Were your healers already in position?
We start from the entrance side of the circle where the ranged is and then have to run around the outside to get to our pylon. By the time I get there the ball is pretty much at its pylon, even when I use my sprint. So there will be both range and movement issues for healers unlucky enough to be assigned to the far pylons.

Is there a reason why you can't run through the middle Templaar ? I mean.. you might get 1 or 2 stacks, but as soon as you leave the inner circle again.. you'll be fine.

I run through the middle.

I did that and died, because the add went boom while I had +dmg stacks from running through the middle.

Either way, the edge of the circle is only just in range of the tanks in the centre. If you run off to your far pylons, you will be OOR of the healers for a while.

wondering what would be the implications of instead of having one group at effectively 6 o'clock, have the groups for each side already stacked at say 4 and 8 (on the first of each side's markers)?

For future tries it will be much better to put ranged on those far pylons then. And moolly was healer there, no idea if she was on spot or not, but she has ghostwolf like I do..

For the sparks that move from Elegon to the pillar:

DK's can spread diseases from boss to all sparks when they spawn.
Warlocks can Seed of Destruction on boss to hit all sparks when they spawn.

Guilds are getting up to 6/7 waves of them down, while we're struggling to sometimes even get 1 wave down, so there's obviously a lot to gain here.
