Abilities

Main Phase

Ice Tomb
- Cast once per Main Phase
- Cast on 5 random players in 25 man and 2 random players in 10 man
- Targets are marked with a blue arrow (think Sindi tombs), after 7 secs they are tombed.
- Need to be destroyed.

Focused Assault
- Cast every 15 seconds
- Channeled for 5 secs in a frontal area.
- Tank can move away to avoid damage.

Shattered Ice
- Cast just before or just after Focused Assault
- Cast on 1 random player
- Slows movement speed for 4 secs
- Deals 100,000 Frost damage in 25-man difficulty, 78,000 Frost damage in 10-man difficulty

Ice Lance
- Cast twice per Main Phase
- Summons 3 crystals which target 3 random players, and for 15 seconds send one missile per second towards this player (so 15 missiles in total)
- When a missile reaches its target or another player on the path to its target, it explodes and inflicts Frost damage to every player in a 3 yard radius (15,000 in 10-man difficulty, 20,000 in 25-man difficulty)
- Also reduces the attack speed (but not the casting speed) of whoever gets damaged by 25%.

Ice Phase

Frozen Tempest
- Hagara is protected by a bubble of water, making her immune to all attacks.

Watery Entrenchment
- Drowning within Hagara's water bubble causes 15% of maximum health to be lost and reduces movement speed by 50%.
- Move to designated edge of platform.

Ice Wave
Image
- Deals 190000 to 210000 Frost damage to all enemies within 6 yards and increases their Frost damage taken by 50% for 2 sec.
- Cutter-like icewalls (x4) that are VERY difficult to survive running through, DONT do it.

Icicle
Image
- Deals damage to nearby enemies.
- Icicles fall into targeted areas (see pic)

The idea is to run around the platform destroying 4 Frozen Binding Crystals whilst avoiding the Ice Wave and Icicle drops.

When all 4 crystals are destroyed, Hagara is debuffed with Feedback. She is stunned and takes 100% increased damage for 15 secs.

Lightning Phase

Frozen Tempest
- Hagara is protected by a bubble of water, making her immune to all attacks.

Lightning Storm
- Hagara channels a lightning storm to electrocute the players on the platform.
- Every 2-3 secs 7/8 random players in 25 man (3/4 in 10 man) get hit with 17500 Nature damage (10 000 in 10 man).

Lightning Conduit
- Voltage courses through the nearest target.

Crystal Conductor
- Hagara conjures 4 Crystal Conductors to protect herself from the lightning storm.

At the start of the phase, a Bound Lightning Elemental spawns which needs to be tanked near a Crystal Conductor and killed. This causes that Conductor to become overloaded. The raid needs to spread approx 10 yards apart to CHAIN the resulting lightning to the next conductor (or 2 or 3).

Mega healing phase here. A hunter needs to put up Aspect of the Wild along with a shamans Elemental Resistance Totem or a paladins Resistance Aura.

Strategy

Main Phase
- Lasts about 50 secs (first one is 30 secs).
- Tank and spank.
- Ranged spread out and position themselves to prevent Ice Lance from reaching melee.
- Ranged also need to free players in Ice Tomb.
- If you are targeted with Ice Tomb run to marked area and group up so tombs can be aoe'd down.
- 2 designated tank healers needed.

Ice Phase
- Run CLOCKWISE around the platform avoiding Ice Wave and Icicle.
- Attack Frozen Binding Crystals when possible.
- Should take about 2 turns around the platform to kill all 4 Frozen Binding Crystals.
- Low dmg phase if all abilities are avoided.

Lightning Phase
- Tanks to pick up Bound Lightning Elemental and tank it next to a Crystal Conductor.
- Ranged to spread out towards next crystal (going clockwise) no more than 10 yards apart.
- Chain lightning to next conductor.
- Melee move to next crystal (clockwise) and spread out as ranged did (leapfrog style) to channel lighting from overload of 2nd crystal to 3rd crystal.
- Ranged move to 4th crystal spreading out to chain lightning from melee...
- High damage phase.

Why we failed at holding hands: (Taken from the Icey veins link)

The Holding Hands achievement is part of the Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider meta-achievement. The achievement is rather straightforward and is linked to the Lightning Phase.

What you need to do is overload the last Crystal Conductor by using a chain of players made up of the entire raid. You cannot have most of the raid stacked together somewhere in the chain, with a few players doing the actual lightning conduction part. You have to make a continuous chain of players. If players are too close, this runs the risk that the lightning will jump a player.

In 10-man difficulty, there is a lot of available room to make the chain, so obtaining the achievement should not be a problem.

In 25-man difficulty, however, you will need to create a sort of semi-circle from one overloaded conductor to the final conductor. To make it easier, you can make the chain start from the overloaded conductor that is diametrically opposed to the final conductor. This will give your raid ample room to maneuver.

The achievement triggers as soon as the final conductor is destroyed. You do not need to kill the boss, which is good news for raids who want to get the achievement but not kill the boss on Normal mode.

Since we failed on the Hagara achievement I went and did some reading and came up with this -

So we need to use everyone in the raid at a certain distance apart starting from the conductor before the one we stacked at last time. We have to make sure that everyone is evenly spaced at a certain distance so the lightning doesnt skip a person.

Lith normally tries to read them but the words are often too big. I normally have to get the flip chart and crayons out to help her understand them.
