Log shows average of 70k. Given that there's a bunch of them will ramp up the damage fairly quickly.

regarding the tank stun vs ping pong here's something that might work for surviving the stun:
it was used in Naxx 25 for the Instructor Razuvius fight when we didn't have the priests in the raid for mind control tanking (Omnium - not Easy).

my theory is when tank is about to be stunned then someone far away taunts it (hunters are ideal since they can feign death and drop the agro back to the tank)
Theoretically it could also be a paladin that bubbles the damage.
I don't know how long the stun is but this should mean that nobody is taking damage from him at all whilst the tank is incapacitated.

As for dispatching Sul, are we doing well enough in dps that we could have a few Ds dedicated to bashing him about the face throughout the fight regardless of who is empowered?

Finally, when [insert name of female council member here] is empowered it is a bit annoying for melee when she starts running around because she's being interrupted. It makes her run into bad stuff, through the charge line of [insert name of rolling council member here] all of which could reduce dps time of our (not small) melee squad. so, perhaps a 'no interrupting' rule? (unless she's standing in bad stuff already).

After thinking this through:

Regarding the priestess I wouldn't bother interrupting her at all. All she does is hit the tank for about 100k every 2s, which in general is weaker than most bosses tend to hit. On top of that, if the tank that has built threat on her just runs off during the add phase, pops a save or two while gathering up the adds and dukes it out until we kill them. If this ends up with being to rough to survive we can always have a plate pop into threat stance/buff for a couple of seconds, taunt her off and just get healed thru the dmg.
If our healers deem it possible, I'd say we have our tanks just run away from their caster, if they're not tanking Malakk atm, and gather up the adds. I've never seen Sul possessed right after Malakk so even if the current Sul tank runs off he/she prolly will retain aggro for long enough.

Otherwise we will be left with 3T tactic, which is a little bit silly.

@ Galth: the stun is ~15second long, having the boss run loose for that amount of time doesn't seem possible.

Every single pull thus far has been Malakk first and Sul 4th.

Bugger.

Strategy used on the kill:

3T - one for Sul, one for Mar'li, one for Sand Adds. ((One of the tanks please edit this to reflect the ending roles you've given yourselves, I've lost track.))

Positioning - Mar'li was positioned on the stair-side edge of the whitish circle in the middle of the room, once her tank has built enough threat he moved away and she stayed put(no interrupts!). Other 2 tanked together on the directly opposite side. Makes easier to swap Malakk and gives people a good idea where the loas will go.

DPS distribution - We had 3 dps on Sul throughout the whole fight interrupting him, tho two of those split their dmg to the possessed one(WW monks via Storm, Earth and Fire). We popped heroism during Sul's empowerment and did our best to kill him before he gets empowered again(might be an idea to move more dps to him at this point, even with just recalling the monk clones in our case).

Absolutely.
1T on Marli, 1T on Sul, 1T on Malakk to start with.
Sul and Malakk are being swapped on 9 stacks.

Whoever is tanking Malakk when the Sand adds come, is taking the Sand adds with the Marli tank, while Sul is being tanked/interrupted/kited away from sand puddles around the edge. When Malakk reaches 9 stacks in this phase, he's being taunted by the Sul tank aswell, temporarily having 2 trolls hitting on him/her.
