Quickie

Tank Lei Shen close to a conduit (starting with the East is nice). Watch the conduit and move onto the next once it has reached 80+. Taunt when the tank is affected by Decapitate. The affected tank needs to run away from the boss immediately. Each conduit has an ability the raid needs to deal with.
North: Stack for Static Shock (blue arrow);
East: Spread for Diffusion Chain;
South: Stack on the giant player to avoid the Overcharged stun;
West: Stand in the swirl to avoid spawning adds with Bouncing Bolt.

Otherwise run away from Thunderstruck, the large lightning circle on the ground, anytime it's cast. Tank and kill any adds that are spawned during the encounter. Diffusion chain can be tanked by anyone in the raid if not buffed.

During intermission, spread out between the sections and deal with the above abilities. Avoid the electrified section of the platform after.

During phase two, tank swap for Fusion Slash (face your back away from the edge), stack for Summon Ball Lightning, and move out of the Lightning Whip.

During phase three, stack for the balls, move out of the whip, don't get pushed off of the platform by winds, and tank swap for Overwhelming Power stacks if needed.

So, to try and ensure continuit.

Tonight I marked:
East as Green = Diffusion Chain (Start as spread)
South as Yellow = Overcharged (Group on the big player)
West as Red = Bouncing Bolt (Stack on the blue swirls)
North as Purple = Static Shock (group on Skulled player)

Other notables for intermission:
- Need to mix melee in the groups as they don't play nice together for Diffusion chain
- Split tanks onto opposite sides of arena so they have bigger coverage to collect adds if needed
- Have raid spread out befor intermission starts (call it out at 66-67%)

We were playing with Hero, not sure we'll get two in on a whole fight but started using it to push first intermission.

We were going for kiling the Diffusion Chan platform, so starting on green and stacking it to 90, having other platforms stack to 80. We wen Green Yellow, Red, Purple

Only change tonight was a suggestion from Nihi to zone mark the platform. As we are splitting 4 groups of 6 and a 'floater' this gave us a 2 back, 2 middle, 2 front setup. We placed Ranged to back, Heals to middle and Melee to front. There was a very noticeable improvement. We also had people practice positioning while Lei Shen was circling the platform. So the 6 on green ran in and got a sense of where they'd go, then yellow, red, purple.

Have everyone think of it like 'Zone Defense' in basketball You patrol a space, but you can move into other people parts if you need to (within your quarter).

People need to understand the bouncing ball mechanic. If you fail to absorb it it will spawn a big add and drop another zone that needs to be absorbed or you get a second add. This 'bouncing' continues until all have been absorbed or you wipe. On early tries we had dozens of big adds up. Towards end, just a couple.

Came close to pushing 2nd Intermission on the last two tries of the night. I think both got him below 50%.

Phase 2 is easier than Phase 1, but tighter for DPS as you are down to three platforms.

If you are killing the Green zone you must kill Purple or Yellow. Preference is to kill Purple.

Ok, to summarise little changes

Static Shock on pillars, run to melee.

First person to a Bouncing Ball stays, anyone else finds another one.


As for the Static shock on the transition.

Proposed tactic:

If you can solo soak the shock, run to your zones pillar and soak it, if you can't run to the circle in the middle of the zone so everyone can stack on you. Use dmg reduction abilities on the stack group if poss (Smoke Bomb, AMZ, etc)

Job done.

sounds good apart from making the person run to the pillar when soaking on thier own, I suggest they just move to the edge somewhere within thier own zone rather than running through other peoples to get to the back.

So if we let that pillar get up to 90 energy its shared dmg would be 2.9mil in intermission we had 6 sometimes 7 people on our platform, 2.9mil spread 6 ways is 483K approx, which would tie in with the amount of dmg we were taking there. I am pretty sure there was a few times we died cos we didnt have enough HP going into the static shock but I also think there was times when we were all at max HP and still died. Can anyone confirm it from the logs ? if we had full HP when the static hit ?
