SoO HEROIC - Iron Jugger
Re: SoO HEROIC - Iron Jugger
Tactics for HC.
There are two mechanical changes, neither change what we do...
- Phase 1= Sawblades, randomly targeted ranged players. Sounds like they are pretty much unavoidable and do around 300k Dmg. Basically, avoid them if you can, otherwise personal saves and extra healing needed.
- Phase 2 = Mortar Barrage, lots of extra aoe, but it sounds like it can be outranged? This is a random floor effect, so people won't be directly targetted and that means its completely avoidable.
Basically, this is pretty much the same fight. Boss health is not especially higher so probably will last a couple of minutes longer, thats it.
Reminder otherwise, the other mechanic is the mines, still need to be soaked. I suppose there may be bad RNG scenarios where abilities overlap?
Any ther pointers

At start of siege phase, stack loosely. You'll all get blown back. Just stay there and heal up through entire siege phase. Then re-engage boss.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with.
Re: SoO HEROIC - Iron Jugger
Phase 2 is a NON dps phase now.
P1: Start the boss where he is, stay spread as Erian stated. Try and avoid all the bad stuff.
Transition to P2: Have a stack point where you'll loosely group for aoe heals
P2: You'll get blown all the way to the bottom with the shock pulse, just stay there and ride it out until the phase is over, move boss back to starting position.

If George is 73 and his girlfriend is 26,
How much money does George have?

Re: SoO HEROIC - Iron Jugger
Is that "No DPS", or "Only DPS if you are within range". Is this going to suck for MDPS or all DPS?
Does the knock back send you all to the same place regardless?

NO dps whatsoever, you wont get close to the boss, you'll see what I mean when you give it a try.Rublupine wrote:Is that "No DPS", or "Only DPS if you are within range". Is this going to suck for MDPS or all DPS?

Knock back will send you all the way to the fence area (relative to your starting position), pretty healing intensive phase.

Love the shock pulse tactic.
Let's get all blasted away as far as possible so that the mortal barrage wont reach us..
We will get all the other abilities that focus players, like the mine and the laser, but those are healable next to the shock pulse damage.
The only down side is the amount of dps we do. This tactic saves a LOT of stress on the healers.. but it does bring us closer to the enrage timer...

soo.. one option for the fight to go..
Phase 1, use hero, use pots blow all dps cooldowns and avoid the sawblades (and any other damage dealing mechanic that you should remember from the normal fights ).
Phase 2, get blown back, survive without getting hit by the mortar Barrage and have a good time.
Since dps are not DPSing, they should use personal saves to lower damage done and hybrids should use some healing abilities???
Phase 1.2, use all dps cooldowns that are available again. Killlllll
overall:
- all the mechanics do more damage offcourse;
- beware of the sawblade. it focusses a target so maximize your view range so you see it spawn earlier;
- The mines deal at least 100k more damage when you jump on them, so make sure you can handle the damage.. if not, let the tank do it with his cooldowns.
- Avoid the tar and Don't let the beam cross a tar pool if you run away from one.
- Get out of any mortal circle (big red circle on the ground). Combined with other mechanics, this is a killer.
Raid composition: 2T-3H-5D?
